Epson Printer Tear off Codes or a workaround for it

I have EPSON LX-310 and using ESC/P control codes for printing. I was hoping someone could help me with tear off codes. I need to programmatically pass the printer a tear-off code instead of it doing a blanket form feed to tear off. We need to provide this feature to users in case the tear-off key stops working or they are not able to set it in tear-off edge mode. I tried to find control code for it but couldn't find one. If there is no tear off code. Could someone please help me with a work around code like giving vertical tabs or line feeds after printing and getting the cursor back when new printing starts. ||I tried it myself but could not do it successfully as top margin gets disturbed in case of line feeds and it doesnot go beyond top margin in case of multiple tabs.
