Event Manager Action Buttons Missing?

Hi,
I have just bought an Epson Expression XP-970 and am trying to assign the buttons for scanning in Event Manager, but when I open the program there are no buttons for me to modify (see attached file).
I have not used this program with previous printers so I'm not sure if I'm not doing something correctly.
I would be grateful for any help, please?
