I am having a bit of an issue connecting my HP Envy 6055e printer to wifi. During the printer setup in HP Smart app, the connection always fails. The printer will sometimes be found and sometimes it will be offline.

Is there anyone with this problem or an ENVY series model that could help out??

Try resetting the printers Wi-Fi settings and then reconnect to it using a 2.4ghz band on the HP Smart application. A reboot of both the router and the printer will solve it most times too.

My experience with the HP Envy 6055e reflected those same problems. Resetting the Wi-Fi and choosing the 2.4 GHz band alone will not suffice; upgrading the printer firmware and updating the drivers before running the HP Smart setup is a must.

In case HP Smart continues to show the printer as offline, your last recourse should be removing the printer from the app, rebooting both the printer and router, and then doing the installation all over again. Sometimes, the old HP software elements are the root cause of the connection failure during the pairing process.

In case you are in need of the latest HP tools and driver resources, I found this page to be quite useful: https://printerdrivers.com/hp-image-assistant/

This will help you in recognition and updating of HP software components which might be the source of the connectivity troubles.

Hii,
I had a similar issue with an HP ENVY printer. First, make sure the printer is in Setup Mode (the wireless light should be blinking). Restart your router, printer, and phone/computer, then try the setup again through HP Smart.

Also, check that you're connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as some HP ENVY models can have trouble during setup on 5 GHz networks. If the printer keeps showing offline, try removing it from HP Smart and adding it again.

If that doesn't work, restoring the printer's network settings and running the setup from scratch often resolves the problem.
