HP Laserjet 2200D not picking up paper

This printer has been working great and the other day while printing there was a grinding noise and it quit picking up paper. I have tried to do a print test from the printer and it will not pick up the paper from Tray 1 or Tray 2 the it errors out. It is not engaging the pickup rollers for either tray. I have pulled it apart to see if something has broken but I did not find anything.
Could the Engine Controller have gone bad? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
