MAC with Sequoia (15.4) . HP app "HP Smart" allows scanning. But if I use "Print Center" as I used to,
it allows printing but does not see the scanner of the printer (HP Pjhotosmart 7520 multifunction)
Any idea how to fix this

I must add that the "HP Smart" app require logging to HP web site which is just pain in the
neck when you just want ti scan quickly. Very poor practice from HP.

Hey, had the same issue after updating. Try removing the printer from System Settings > Printers & Scanners, then re-adding it—but make sure to choose it as a scanner too when it shows up. Also, check if HP Easy Scan works better than Print Center. Sometimes Sequoia just needs a driver refresh.
Hey there! This sounds like a compatibility hiccup between macOS Sequoia and how the Print Center is handling multifunction printers.
Here are a few things you might try:
Check Scanner in Image Capture or Preview: Sometimes macOS’s built-in apps like Image Capture or Preview can access the scanner even when Print Center doesn’t show it. Give that a try—open Image Capture and see if your Photosmart 7520 shows up in the sidebar.
Reset Printing System:
Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and choose Reset Printing System.
Then re-add your HP printer. This can refresh scanner detection.
Use HP Easy Scan: Even though HP Smart works, sometimes HP Easy Scan (from the HP website or App Store) offers better compatibility for older multifunction models. It might give you better scanner integration outside of the HP Smart sandbox.
