Incompatibility with Paint Shop Pro X9 and 2018 versions

I have set up my Epson XP-630 wirelessly, linked to my Windows 10 Pro Lenovo laptop and my wife's Windows 10 Home Acer laptop. it prints OK uses all the programs we need to use on both laptops.

Using the scan function via the printer LCD allows us to scan to both laptops.

Using the Epson Scan software on both laptops allows us to scan to both computers.

However Corel Paint Shop Pro X9 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2018 fail to recognise the scanner. I have removed the Epson software on both laptops and reloaded it with no improvment. I have removed the printer from the wireless network and then reconnected it and again there was no improvement.

What can i do to get the scanner recognised when using Paint Shop pro?

Scan to laptops.
Save resulting scan in any folder on Laptop.
Import scan (photo) into Paint Shop Pro.
Look for "Import" under "File" at top of PSP GUI.
Or perhaps GUI has "Open Folder" under File, where your scan resides. Browse for that folder.
Dont believe it is possible to scan directly to PSP
