Hello. I'm new to the forum so thank you in advance.

I just purchased a Lexmark X734. I've connected as a network printer in my home office.

The problem is that every time I print a document, the printer sounds a loud beep when it starts to print. I sit right next to the printer and it's annoying me severely. I've searched all the info in the guide and can't find a way to silence this.

Does anyone know how to silence this. Alternatively, does anyone know how I can open the printer and put something over the speaker to silence/lessen the sound.

Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. The beep was coming from my UPS. When the printer printed, I guess it was sucking too much juice and made the UPS warning sounds.:eek::eek:
