Hi all I have a mfc-j5720dw printer. yesterday when I turned it on it said it was cleaning on the display screen, it has never done that before. Now it want print properly. It's very slow and the printer arm is only going across the paper once then stops and starts ages later. Sometimes it want print the whole page only half. What's wrong and how do i fix this? Thanks all

Did you try resetting the printer like it says on page 79 of the manual?

i tried to fix this problem with Brother themselves and it needs fixing. They could not get it to work.

right now nothing have not found the receipt to be able to get it fixed. But have since found the printer will
copy fine. The above problem only happens with printing off the internet or from the word processor. As I said I had a very long chat session with Brother where they took me through a process of entering numbers and doing this and that trying to fix the problem and it could not be fixed.
