MFC-J880DW scanning problem

I am using a MFC-J880DW printer connected via USB to a Windows 10 PC. I am trying to scan using Control Center. The first time I scan everything works fine. When I try to scan a second time I get an error message (TW006). If I restart the PC then I can scan one item successfully. If after I get the error message, I restart the printer I still get the same error. I reloaded the Brother software to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
