Hi everyone,
I have a Brother MFC-L5700DW laser printer. It is printing with a faded left 1/3 of the page. Here is what I have done so far (in order)
1. Replaced toner cartridge with new. That did not fix it.
2. Replaced drum with new (Brother brand). This did not fix it, either.
3. Disassembled the machine to access the laser unit (thank you, YouTube) - I carefully cleaned the laser unit with a dry microfiber cloth, which did not look too bad in the first place, but I cleaned it all
After reassembly, I am still having the exact same issue - its actually almost a little worse now. Can anyone help me out with this? Should I have used some ammonia or other cleaning solutions on this laser unit? Or is there something else that could be causing this?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thank you all.
