I am trying to install an older software version in my Brother MFC-J57250DW so I can once again use my generic print cartridges. I have the correct file to install but I need to be able to disable automatic updating so it doesn't get overridden with new software. The problem is I can't find how to do this. I have found lots of YouTube videos explaining where to go: Tools > All Setting > Machine Info > Firmware Update. This is where my problem is, my printer does not have a firmware update selection. All it says is firmware version. I have searched everywhere that I can think of and can't find a way of doing this. If anyone can help me here I would be ever so grateful.
