No option to scan as searchable PDF on printer

I have a Brother MFC-L8650CDW.
I scan from the Brother app on my PC and choose 'Searchable PDF' format - not just PDF format.

On the printer, I can start off scans. BUT there is no option to choose 'Searchable PDF'.
There is only PDF. With the PDF, it's not possible to search for anything.

I know someone else who has another newer Brother model - same type of Brother printer in spec and size - that one has it missing as well.

What am I missing? Why is this option missed on the printers?
