Officejet Pro 8600 Plus wants unsername & password to set up scan to email

I've been trying to set up Scan to Email on my Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. When I go through the setup process and click on "Outgoing email profiles" I get a drop down panel that says: "Authencation Required

https://hpa45d3639044f.local. is requesting your
username and password. The site says: “admin”"

with spaces for username and password.

I don't know what username and password they are asking for. I've tried "admin", my email address and several other usernames with various passwords with no luck. Does anyone have an idea?
