Good Evening
I bought some days ago a OKI ML390ELITE for 100€ + 3 INKs.
The Printer works fine, I think. I put a Paper in it, and pressed all the buttons when it printed me out his settings.
I got Problems establishing a Connection between the Printer and my Thinkpad.
First of all I didn't installed a OEM Version of XP. When following the readme from the latest driver for the ML390 I can't proceed cause it want's me to put the Windows XP CD in to do whatever it wants to do, these comes up after I tried to print a test page at the Wizard for adding a printer whether a Page was printed nor I could finish the driver installation.
The Thinkpad has a serial Port at the Backside. I was also at the BIOS and activated there something with Serial Port or something like that. Also bought a Serial Port to USB Cable from Amazon and tried it under Win7, no chance, could install the driver and add a printer. But it didn't prints.
Excuse my bad English!
