Pigment ink in Epson Ecotank Printers

Can I use pigment inks in an Epson Ecotank ET-2720 or ET-4760 printer? Can these inks be used in a mixed capacity (i.e. pigment ink for black, dye ink for colors?)

I was told before purchasing my ET 7750 that I could not run pigment through this unit.
I was looking for another photo printer at the same time and was hopeful!
Mind you Epson will never say you can use any ink other than OEM
I photo print with Canon
