Printer Advice Needed

I am looking for a printer for our accounting/tax office. I have discussed it with the owner and here are a list of our specifications. I have had no luck finding anything that meets all the qualifications.

  • Must be able to use MICR toner.
  • Economical (Basically, the cheaper the better).
  • Must have little to no warm up time and print quickly.
  • Must have scanning capabilities.

I am open to any suggestions.

Printer?

Well you could go for the HP ...say... HP Laserjet P1005, P1006, P1505 or P1505n.

I have a P1006 at home and I love it to death. But, the power that be feel that it needs to be able to scan so that we can create PDF documents. I know that there are other (generally easier) ways to create PDF documents, but our firm is not eager to embrace new technology.
