Refilled Cartridge not working

    My daughter has a Canon PIXMA ip2702. She installed a Costco refill recently. She not gets a message that the black cartridge is empty. A Canon tech said that the printer does not recognize that the cartridge is full (something about the serial number or code on it?). She gets the same message when trying to print in color. Is there some way to reset the printer to recognize the refilled cartridge?

    Take the cartridge back to Costco and get it replaced or refunded.
    Refills are problematic.

    Try out This

    1. Turn off the printer
    2. Hold the Resume Button (red circle in the triangle), add a printer (click “Power”) an indicator light green.
    3. Hold the Power Button, release the Resume Button.
    4. Not releasing the Power Button, double click “Resume” and release Both Buttons.
    5. Click “Resume” for Four times
    6. Once you click “Power”, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber). To disable the printer “Power” button to click again.
