Samsung M2070w not picking up paper

Hi

I been trying for ages now to fix my printer, but I just can't get it to pick up paper. You can hear it trying, but it just doesn't catch it. I've tried using alcohol to clean the roller, pushing the paper in hope it will feed, upgrading firmware, many hours trying to find something on the internet to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi

Little update. I've worked out that if I push down on the roller when it is trying to pick up paper it works. The roller does move by itself, but doesn't seem to press down hard enough to get the paper.

Any idea of a fix?

Hey thanks for reply. Do you think that’s what it is? Are they easy to replace though

only other thing is the cassette base plate not lifting high enough
not sure how it works on that model
if when you load the paper you click the base plate down which is springy
you can stretch that spring to give it more push up
if you know what i mean
otherwise the base plate is driven up and it could of missed a tooth in the mechanism
the tyres go hard after awhile usual reason water is better to clean them alcohol dries them out
they shouldnt be smooth should be slightly rough
they should just click in or have release lever of some kind
look up user manual should show you how
usually user change
