This is a black & white laser printer, that has worked very well for years. Suddenly it refuses to print. In the error message box, it says:

Paper is empty in manual feeder. Add paper (M1-5712)

This makes no sense, since I don't use the manual feeder at all. I went through all the settings, deleted and reinstalled the printer, it's firmware and software. I did put a sheet into the manual feeder, and it did print, But don't want to feeding the printer manually.
I've contacted HP support, since they now handle Samsung printers, but it seems communicating with HP is next to impossible. I'd be grateful for any assistance.
