Sawgrass Printer not getting black print

Hi there, our company bought a Sawgrass SG500 sublimation Printer for doing Mugs etc. But when we print Black it is coming out more of a milk chocolate, colour. Not being up to speed with Sublimation on mugs yet are you better working in CMYK or RGB and how do others get really deep blacks?
