Scenario:
Clean installation of Windows 10 on a system running for several years. HDD failure
BX305FW set up on the home network and accessible from other PCs
WiFi connection confirmed with fixed IP address. I can ping from the subject PC
The Windows installation found the printer and scanner and I can access the home page
I can print but cannot scan. Epson scan settings only shows one option on the select scanner list - Workforce435/BX305plus. A scan of the network finds nothing. If I enter the IP address it states a scanner is available at the address but not the one selected. Indeed I know that.
How do I get Epson scanner to correctly identify the scanner?
Alternatively, using the printer scanner installation, I get to the point where it tries to find the BX305 and it fails every time. Connect via USB and it also fails
Should I do a Basil Fawlty and attack said BX305 with a stick or is there a more moderate solution?
Any help for a stupid person would be appreciated
