I purchased a used Konica Minolta bizhub C754e (with 100k clicks) It uses a 20A plug (3 wires: black, white, green)
I plugged the printer into a 4 prong outlet. 220 v was sent to the printer. (white & black were hot)
The power switch on the unit only breaks the hot wire (black). So, 110v traveled the white wire directly into the machine. Now, nothing happens when wired correctly. Nothing!
I understand this is such a monumental mistake that No manufacture could make a unit Idiot proof. Trust me, I am nauseous just thinking about it.
Now, for my questions:
1. Where do I start to figure out if the printer is fixable?
2. What would you test/replace to start diagnosing?
It wouldn't be so bad but I moved this unit upstairs in a residents and that is where my comedy of errors will end for now.
