Two sided printing on Canon

There is an option on my MG 525 Canon printer to do two sided on A4. I find this produces the same image on both sides. I want a different image on the reverse, so how do I produce this? I can only think you print one side then put the printed side into the cartridge right side up and print a scan of the second image. Any more suggestions please.

What application are you using? Or using the GUI / LCD on the printer directly?

Lightroom might work. Have you tried Canon's EasyPhotoPrint-EX?

(Note ... I haven't tried to accomplish what you are asking about)
