wf2510 printer error

so ive just printed 10 colour photos on photo paper and ran out of yellow ink. i changed the cartridge as usual and now get the following error
"printer error, see your documentation" no error code..
ive turned of the printer, disconnected the mains supply for 20 minutes, removed all paper.

theres nothing jammed or anything inside or anything

i cant do anything, cant move the carriage to remove the yellow cartridge or anything.

any help appreciated
