Workcentre PE220 prints black lines when copying

The Xerox Workcentre PE220 is printing 2 think black lines horizontally accross the bottom of pages when copied from the scan tray. The scan tray has been cleaned but the lines still appear. The scanner light does not flicker or turn off and moves in a fluid, constant motion when scanning.

When the autofeed is used the documents print fine.

Is this a known issue, or are there any solutions?

yes a known issue. problem on fpc. a silver flat cable connecting scanner assy and mainboard.
