Apple Laserwriter 12/640 false jam

I am experiencing what is generally described as false jam: the printer receives the print queue, the pickup roller starts picking up the sheet and then everything stalls, as if a second motor is not activated, any ideas? The printer is now 27 years old (I bought in 1997).

I recommend checking the motor that drives the paper feed mechanism.

its a nightmare to get into the rollers system
