Banding Issues

I have an Epson S40600 that just started having banding issues. In center or left of prints. Draker colors like orange and brown and black. I have been told that it could be a head alignment or calibration issue. It has also been mentioned that there might be an ink color contamination issue. Not sure where to start. Have been doing numerous heavy head cleanings before and after Print sessions.

I had this happen on my (almost new) Canon Pro-200. I tried the print head alignment first, and that fixed it. I was trying to avoid cleaning the printhead as it uses a lot of ink.
