Black ink only

Heres the printer I intend on buying. It is a 4 cartridge printer.
Epson - WorkForce WF-2540 Network-Ready Wireless All-In-One Printer.
I only intend on using black to print. Then the black runs out I can print in dark blue with the other cartridge, but then they run out will I have to buy the 3 colors ones to make it work.

I'd definetly say go with a monochrome laser than something like the HL-2270 which is a beast of a machine.
