Brother 2170W won't print via USB after moving modem

I moved the modem away from the printer to the TV room for easier streaming. Now the 3 computers in the house need to be configured for printing. "DestTop" is connected via USB, the other 2 will be WiFi. However, printing does not work from DeskTop. All of the usual list of possible errors have been checked and all seem to be fine. PLPT1 Printer Port. Everything is up to date. It fails to print and then show Error after about a minute. Troubleshooting corrects by removing the print job in queue - blaming the problem on that print job. It may be that it is trying to connect via WiFi but it isn't set up for that. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks
