I have a Brother MFC-985DW. The Magenta and Yellow Cartridges are out.
When I bought the Printer, somehow I bought the wrong spare Cartidges.

The right ones are on order, but I have a need to print a Black and White document.

I cannot see how to print with only the B&W Cartridge. How can I do this ?

Thanks for your help,

You can have a try to print black and white paper, if you computer doesn’t come out with error message, then it is ok.

I have an HP Color LaserJet, but I would think there would be similar options available for Brother. If I want to print from only the black cartridge, here is what I do:
After displaying the print screen for any document:
Select Properties.
Click on the Color tab.
Under Color options, there is a box that says "Print in Grayscale"; check that box.
Now whatever document I print will be black and white only.
