Canon 6120

I realize there's little chance of getting any help here but thought I would try. I just bought a Canon 6120. I use gimp 6.11 for photo editing. For some reason I cannot get gimp to print 4X6 photo's. I think this may be a common problem with gimp for all printers but thought I'd give this forum a try. Any suggestion?
