I have a Mac Mini, a MacBook, an iPad, and an iPhone, and have just purchased the above printer for home use only. It is a b/w laser printer and will be used for printing A4 documents only. Having installed the driver, plugged the printer in to a mains electrical socket and connected it to the Mini with a USB lead I find that it is immediately usable on all four devices using AirPrint without any further input from me. Yet there is a display panel with hundreds of options plus a 500 page manual, the contents of which seems irrelevant to my basic needs. Can I safely disregard both display panel and manual, given that AirPrint seems to have sorted everything out automatically?
