Canon PM620 wireless printer

I have two laptops one vista one W7 both printing wireless to the MP620. Suddenly the vista would not print Google maps directions and then nothing..long story but after many deletes and reinstalls, download the newest drivers and network drivers I got it to work but it created a printer mp620 series WS along with the regular and copy of the MP620 and put it on a new WDS port. The regular series and the copy is on the usual CNBJ port. What is the difference in these ports and printer set ups? Am I ok with the new WS series printer and WS port? It took me 5 hours to fix but I would like to understand somewhat (not too techinical) so I can sleep. Can you help me understand? Thank you, OldBob
