Canon pro9500

    I am trying to get a Canon Pixma Pro9500 to print and having no success. Its on loan from a friend. I have changed all the ink cartidges and downloaded the appropiate driver from Canon. The printer has not been used in over 6 months and I am using a Mac - OSX 10.5.8.

    When last used all worked.

    All instructions are being sent to the printer - test page etc - paper is pulled in and the head goes through the action of printing - but not ink is used - I get no error messages.

    I have no idea what the problem is and neither to Canon. - stumped!!
