Color management wf2850 unavailable on mac

Could someone please tell me if there is a way of getting my epson wf2850 to use the black cartridge when printing color images? I mean, I printed some images that were basically black with some color and it only used color. I have a MacPro, and I've been unable to find the color management feature. Thanks!
