Compatible toner for an incompatible printer?

I intended to buy a laser toner cartridge for my Samsung Xpress M2026.
The shop assistant's advice was to use an MLT-D111L cartridge. As I trusted her I didn't
look what was printed on the box, that it is for use in SL-M2020,M2022,M2070.
May I use it in my printer or should ask for a change?

Easier to place an add? You might have as well answered my question. Anyway, what were my mistakes? Just to make sure I need what you have offered.

This type of toner is good for such printers (M2026), maybe because they are installed as M2020 Series.
