Epson 8550 no magenta @ wits end

I purchased this in March used it 10 times maybe to print photos. Started getting lines. Did print nozzle checks, cleans etc magenta seemed very clogged. Ran a power clean didn't help. Got worse actually. Tried to do a second power clean says I can't maintenance box is full. When I check the capacity it's not even 10% full. The only thing this printer is full of is shit at this point. I changed the magenta ink cartridge recommended by the compass micro people waited 3 months for the part...4 actually just got it last week and it still does the same shit.
