Afternoon all. I own a Epson DX4400 printer which generally as given me great service. My only problem is getting good replacement ink cartridges for this. The original Epson cartridges have a 9 pin chip and most replacements have an 8 pin chip. I have attached an image showing the main differences. The problem is that rarely do the 8 pin replacements work too well. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this issue and know where I can obtain some compatible ink cartridges? Thanks in advance

The only two third party ink suppliers I would recommend does not carry ink for that printer unfortunately. I will agree with you that the 8-pin chips give poor results compared to 9-pin. We have one that LD sent to use with an 8-pin that we can't use until we swap the chip and reset it. It doesn't even recognize in the printer.

I hate to say it but you should start looking for another printer that has a bigger following so you'll have more ink options to choose from.
