Epson et-4550 Printing inconsistency

I'm an employee at a thrift store and a ET-4550 was donated with an odd issue. I know the heads are clean, because it prints a test image just fine. What's odd is that if I print a windows test page, some lines of text print just fine while others are either blurred or garbled(the same lines, confirmed with multiple prints). This also happens when printing the built in head check page, but the results are not as reliable. Has anyone come across this issue?
