Epson printer has to be the most difficult printer I have dealt with

I have a WF3640 that will no way scan from the printer to my Apple Computer even though it shows the scanner is connected in the events app. And then when I set it up to google cloud print it tells me now it's disconnected but gives you no way to reconnect. This thing prints great but sure is lousy interface.
