Epson Scanner Busy Error

Epson FF-680W Windows 11. After I install the scanner and software (USB) everything works. But after I turn the scanner off, the next time I turn it on, I get the error that the scanner is busy or not connected.

Reinstalling the software corrects this problem until I turn it off again.

Any suggestions?

I accidentally discovered a work-around. I'm posting it here in case anyone else has the same problem.

After turning off the scanner, the next time I turn it on, the software thinks the scanner is disconnected. However, if I unplug the USB cable from the scanner, then plug it back in, everything works.

Was able to solve the "Scanner Busy" issue on my Epson EW-052A by pressing the STOP button (Upside down triangle inside a circle).

Press the STOP button > Wait 1-2 mins > Try to scan (Repeat the process a few times)
