epson stylus mc9400FAX problem

My Epson stylus mc9400FAX printer doesn't print. It has old ink in it. I think when the ink is removed, it still won't print.

Is there any reason not to use ether to clean out the print heads?

I think cleaning it out and putting new ink in will give it a chance to work.

Epsons are a bugger for clogging heads, cheap ink sometimes doesnt help, most of them use quite a bit of ink to clean heads but more often than not a good few cleaning cycles will clear it out but they dont like to be left unused for any length of time!
