ET-2720 HAS STOPPED PRINTING MAGENTA

My ET-2720 worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. Since then it appears to have stopped printing in magenta. It appears to have plenty of magenta ink. I have even topped it up, but still it won't print in magenta. I've tried head cleaning to no avail.
The printer is two years old. Am I expected to buy a new printer every 2 years?
