-What I need to know is the maintenance box. What does it do?
Where in the ink flow are the nozzles that I continually test?
What replaceable part includes the nozzles?
What part does the ink head play?
What replaceable part includes the ink head?
Where does the ink used for ink head cleaning go?

Why do I want this info?
Each answer will bring me closer to understanding the ink system and to trouble shooting it..
I'm spending way too much time and effort trying to maintain this printer.

Partial reply: A maintenance box captures the "wasted" or "used" ink from maintenance tasks such as nozzle cleaning. When the maintenance box becomes full, you will get a message; at least I got a message on my WF-4630. Be aware that once it is full your printer probably will shut down until you replace the box. You might want to buy a replacement box in advance.
