Printers have become an important part of modern human life. The existence of this device is very helpful for those who have to print photos or documents related to their work.

Also included are printing entrepreneurs who definitely need printers in completing orders. However, not everyone knows and can take care of the printer properly. Most only know how to use it, but don't understand how to take care of it.

They think, the matter of caring for and repairing the printer is just left to the printer repairman. Though caring for the printer should be able to be done by the owner or user. Moreover, how to care for the printer is relatively not difficult.

You only need to have the will and patience. Next, we review the ways to maintain the printer so that it is not damaged quickly and its performance remains optimal in the long run.

1. Always Keep Printer Clean
Keeping the printer clean is the first thing you have to do so that the printer can last longer. When you are finished using the printer and there are no plans to use it in the near future, cover it with a soft cloth or a special cover of the printer. Especially in the part of laying paper which is vulnerable to dust and dirt.

Dirt that enters this section and has accumulated, can block the paper. At the very least, the dirt is carried in and attached to the printer head. This condition will clearly interfere with the quality of the mold and make the printer head quickly damaged.

Therefore, make sure you clean the printer regularly. At least once a week. The frequency can be less if you rarely use a printer, but the printer must always be in a closed condition.

2. Perform "Clean Head"
How to care for the next printer is to routinely do a "clean head". This process is the most widely used way to maintain the printer. The goal is that the printer head is not clogged and is able to absorb ink well. To then channel it to paper to the maximum.

This treatment system is generally owned by every printer. You just need to reread the manual that was included when buying the printer. Because, different brands of printers are usually different ways to do a clean head.

However, don't do clean heads too often. Just around 1-2 weeks. If too often it can cause the ink container to not hold ink or experience flooding.

3. Use Routine
Printers that are used routinely will be more durable than printers that are rarely used. Why? Because, printers that are often used routinely will have more optimal engine conditions. Of course, during the use of the printer is not excessive.

While printers that are rarely used tend to break faster. When a printer is rarely used, ink can dry out. This condition is not ideal for the printer head, due to lack of liquid ink to be distributed to paper.

In addition, a printer that has not been used for a long time can be fatal to the condition of the printer head. Rust and dry ink will be difficult to clean if it has been attached to the printer head for a long time.

As a result, the ink can not come out with the maximum due to the hole in the printer head has been covered with rust or dry ink. So, it would be better if you always use the printer regularly. Even if not every day, at least once a week the printer must be operated.

4. Turn Off If Not Used
Like a machine, the printer also needs time to rest. Therefore, when you have no plans to use it, you should just turn it off. Thus, the printer can get a little cool from the task of printing the documents you need. With the recovery period it can actually make the printer more durable.

Also note how to turn off the printer. Do not immediately pull out the adapter cable that attaches to the power line. Turn it off by pressing the on / off button until all the lights on the printer are off.

Press this on / off button for 2-3 seconds and wait for the light to turn off. Only then do you unplug the power cord from the printer. Also includes a USB cable that connects the printer with a computer.

How to treat a printer like this will avoid short circuit. Even though this is rare, there is no harm in taking precautionary measures and anticipating them. When you need it again, just plug the cable back into the power grid. Not difficult right?

5. Don't Overprint
There is one thing that is often overlooked by the owners of printers, namely excessive printing. Forcing the printer to work extra will only make life shorter.

The real printer head has a working time limit. When you force printing in large quantities quickly, then the condition of the printer head will definitely be exhausted. This is what will then make the printer's performance decrease.

Even if you have to print in large quantities, for example printing 200 sheets, do it gradually. The first step is printing 25 sheets and resting the printer for a few minutes. Continue to the next stage, and do it step by step while still giving a break to the printer.

This method is ideal for printers who have used an IV system. The existence of an ink container outside the printer and connected by a hose also requires rest. Because the printer head will work harder to take ink that is a little far away in the infusion system.
