How to use EPSON LX-300 on the notebook?

Hi all...

I have to use my EPSON LX-300 on my notebook using USB to LPT adapter. But my notebook can't detect the printer (also in another notebook). But this printer work well in PC/Desktop (also using USB to LPT adapter).

Is this printer really can't be used on any notebook?
