HP 9050mfp Firmware Problem

Hi, I hope someone can assist with this problem.

I have a HP 9050mfp that the firmware has gone corrupt.

I want to reload the firmware but the printer doesn't come into a ready state, which means i can't use the method recommended by HP.



I have removed the firmware chip and put into a card reader and connected it to my pc.

Has anyone ever loaded it is this manner? Is it even possible?

Help please.
