I have an HP Color LaserJet 9500n which will print on 8 1/2 x 11 but not on 11 x 17.
When I try to print on 11 x 17, I get the following error code printed on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.
I'm using the latest PCL6 UPD from HP, on a machine running Windows 7 - 64 bit.

PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalOperatorSequence
Operator: SetNeutralAxis
Position: 3

Does anyone know what this is all about, has anyone seen this before, or does anyone have a fix for this problem?

Thanks,

Lorne.

Just got it fixed through a similar post on an HP Support Forum.
For others with the same issue: use PCL5 instead of PCL6. PCL XL errors only occur when using PCL6.
Fixed my problem in 10 seconds - I can now print 11 x 17 with no problem.
