I have a Panasonic kx-p1081 printer which I need for tractor feed labels.
It works fine on my own printer running xp home.
When I try and install it on a printer running xp-pro it goes through the installation process and shows the printer as installed , but it wont go online.
It is connected to the LPT1 port.
Printer is powered up,but pressing the online button does nothing.
when I take out the lead from LPT1 port, printer then comes on line.
I have tried un-installing it, then re installing it without any luck.
As I said it works perfectly on my xp -home computer , just a straight forward install Via the control panel and away it went.
Xp pro finds the driver and the printer shows up as installed but wont go online.
Any advice please. John
