Making a wired printer wireless (with host computer)

Hi everyone,

After looking at various information online I'm currently stuck. Customer services (not always right hence my scepticism) have said it's not possible to do this with my old Epson Stylus Photo R300 - is this so?

What I want to do is make the printer available to print from any other device connected to my home WiFi. I believe the way to do this is making my laptop a 'host computer' for the printer on the WiFi so that whenever they are all turned on and connected then this should be possible. I'm hoping for this to include Android, iOS and any windows laptops.

There must be a way!... surely? I'll be eternally grateful to all of you smart people :D
